L N Key Parallel bolt couplers provide a full strength joint between a reinforcing steel bar (rebar) and a standard bolt or all-thread bar. The coupler may be used for load-carrying steel structures bolted to concrete foundations, columns or walls.
The Mitro L N Key bolt coupler is a mechanical connector for 10 to 40mm diameter reinforcing-steel Bar. The positive transfer of tension and pressure forces from one rebar to the other is achieved via a self-regulating impacting-lock in the coupler.
No preparatory rebar work required

Mitro L N Key Bolt couplers Reinforcing provide a method of joining reinforcing bars without the need of bar end preparation such as threading. Bars are locked in place by two serrated saddles and a series of special lockshear bolts, the heads of which shear off when the predetermined tightening torque is reached, providing a visual check of correct installation. Typically used for column splicing, bridge applications, piling, beams and closure pours, Mitro L N Key Bolt couplers are available in sizes to suit 10mm, 12mm, 16mm, 20mm, 25mm, 28mm, 32mm, 36mm and 40mm bar sizes.
Installation
Standard use tools are sufficient for installation. However, for efficient and easy installation, special power or electric screwdrivers can be used. You can purchase L N Key Panna tools from Local Hardware.
The standard coupler consists of a seamless tube with integrated serrated runners and a set number of shear-off screws. The number of screws depends on the diameter of the rebar.
